I was asked to photograph all of the players for the Staples Hockey Team. I love shooting portraits and photographing athletes in their gear is a lot of fun. Space can be an issue but we decided to pick a spot close to where the team was getting ready. Then we can shoot them as they go on the ice for practice. My setup does not take me long to set up and it takes very little space. I used one main light with a diffuser and a backlight to separate the background from the subject. I used a small grid for dispersing the light in the background to get just a little dramatic light.
